Orbit PR and communications
Orbit Group asked us to refresh its corporate values and competencies, and improve the way it promotes learning, development, equality and diversity in all parts of its business. To update and strengthen Orbit’s commitment to its 2020 vision of building communities and profit for a purpose, we sharpened up the style and language used to communicate the group’s culture, behaviours and competencies.

Clear and meaningful
The group is one of the UK’s leading housing providers, owning and managing 39,000 homes and serving more than 100,000 customers across the Midlands, East, South East and London. To support home ownership, it also runs the Help to Buy scheme for the East and West Midlands.
We developed a clear framework setting out the organisation’s purpose, values core behaviours and what success looks and feels like. With this in place, we applied the same level of precision and clarity to Orbit’s competencies and leadership standards. Working with an independent artist, we scripted an animation for the group’s website.
Building on the refreshed corporate framework, Orbit also asked us to review and improve the description and programmes for its learning Academy and leadership development programmes. We also developed an internal communications campaign for the group’s equality and diversity work, including a series of posters featuring staff and projects from across the UK.
