Marler Haley is a worldwide supplier of portable display and exhibition systems - banner stands, pop-up stands and modular displays. The company needed a new e-commerce enabled website to enable buyers to choose, customise and pay for their orders online.

Geared up for customised e-commerce

Portable displays are a vital part of most modern tradeshows, conferences, job fairs and other events, where exhibitors need their stands to do the talking. Materials need to be individual, eye-catching, hard-wearing and flexible – and they’re often needed at very short notice.

To meet these needs, Marler Haley asked us to replace their previous brochure-style website with a purpose-built e-commerce platform to increase online traffic and drive greater sales. The site imagery needed to be crystal clear to do full justice to Marler Haley’s state of the art graphics and high-quality products.

This process started with doing an audit of their current website which resulted in recommendations to streamline the customer experience. Outcomes of this research led to a simplified menu system and an overhaul of the product page. After initial A/B testing the new product page proved to result in more sales conversions and was rolled out on the new website.

To allow Marler Haley to update and manage the new site direct, we built it in WordPress, which meant writing bespoke e-commerce features such as a tool for customers to design their own display on screen, plus a secure shopping card and customer account system.

We also added a newsletter sign-up, product reviews, images and videos, plus updated top-level navigation to create more intuitive customer journeys. Products are now displayed in an attractive, streamlined way, with much greater flexibility than most e-commerce platforms to aid quick and easy ordering.
