Elderly Accommodation Counsel PR and communications
Our PR and communications team has worked with the Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) since 2011, helping to develop a communications and marketing strategy to grow its reputation nationally. In this time, we have successfully helped the EAC achieve significant news coverage and organised a Westminster reception with Dame Esther Rantzen DBE and Baroness Greengross OBE as keynote speakers.
Raising profiles and building reputations
The EAC is a national charity campaigning to promote the rights and opportunities of older people. With the number of people in the UK aged over 85 forecast to double over the next 20 years, its work continues to grow in importance. We have raised the profile of its work, helping it and its partners to campaign and win funding for work to promote the rights and opportunities of older people.
Some of this work has included negotiating sponsorship of The Guardian’s Housing and Care Hub, -which led to a series of features and round-table events.
Meanwhile, our events team has also supported the charity on a joint campaign with the Law Commission to highlight hidden, unfair fees charged by some providers of leasehold retirement housing. We helped plan, organise and host a well-attended Westminster reception with Dame Esther Rantzen DBE and Baroness Greengross OBE as keynote speakers.
We gave The Daily Mail an exclusive option period, to which they responded with some good print and online coverage.
