To promote its ‘driving your fixed income further’ campaign and support the generation of new business leads, we developed a digital monster truck driving game for the group’s exhibition stand. Inspired by the 1980s/90s MicroMachines toys and games, the digital driving experience coupled serious customer data capture and contact with a fun, virtual office obstacle course. It had centre-stage on Aberdeen Asset Management’s exhibition stand for UK and international trade fairs and events.
Competing to appear on the furthest-distance leader board, users drove the monster truck with an Xbox controller. The game also allowed players to gain extra points by collecting digital coins representing the currencies of different countries where the client works.
The game visuals linked to a range of other promotional giveaways for the campaign, and proved its cross-cultural appeal through successful use at several shows and locations across the world.
